The dichroX company was
started by two ambitious American men in Taxco, Guerrero -
Mexico. Founding members Gabriel Flesher and Jonathan Hunt
began with humble means; very little money and no knowledge or
experience in the glass art business.
Initially it was Jonathan who was curious about the process
of fusing dichroic glass after have seen it in the Taxco
marketplace. Jonathan and Gabriel were working together
in another business at that time, when Jon approached Gabe with
the idea of shifting their business from graphic design to
glass production. It took eight months of trial and error
glass fusing and rigorous technique perfecting before the
company was able to hire and train its first employees.
Today dichroX is a team
of skilled glass workers working in our
Mexico production facility and a US office in Michigan where all of our distribution and marketing
is facilitated.

How do I pronounce your
company name?
dichroX is a name derived
from the word dichroic (pronounced Dye-CROW-ick). In Greek: di means two and chroic
means color. Our twist on the
word dichroic was to drop the "ic" from the end of the word and
replace it with the letter "X."
Our company name is therefore pronounced dy-kro-ex.
The upper-case X represents
the future, innovation and the eXtreme
nature of the product itself. We, the founders, are of
generation-X and our dichroic glass jewelry style is the
artistic eXpression of our
own personalities.
Our dichroic glass style ranges from geometric to abstract
which allows us the possibility of reproducing certain styles
while keeping others totally unique by way of our glass
layering and fusing techniques. We guarantee that you,
